This cured sausage is perfect for hand slicing at home. You can use it for snacks and sandwiches, and it is easy to take away on a meal outdoors. It is made from Iberico pork meat and fat and flavoured with spices (mainly pimenton or sweet paprika). It is called ‘vela’ for its long and straight shape that reminds a traditional candle or a boat’s sail.
