This sliced ham from Salamanca is from Iberico pigs acorn-fed. These ham slices are very dark in color and have a high-quality and mouth-watering appearance. You will find a very intense smell and taste to Acorn-Fed Iberico. You can see and feel the cristal dots of tyrosine, which is a sign of a slow, artisan, and natural curing method. The meat and fat are very tender and melt in the mouth, but still slightly stringy. Chewy and juicy at the same time. This ham is really surprising, as has very high quality, an amazing taste, and is very tender. It can be stored at room temperature. Keep refrigerated after opened. For better taste and experience, warm it up before opening the pack with slightly warm water from the sink for 2-3 minutes until the pack is soft. The fat gets warmer and softer, improving the flavour. The difference is noticeable. It can also be opened 15 minutes before consuming to improve the taste. Iberian ham is one of the most popular products in Spanish gastronomy and it is also highly appreciated outside the Spanish borders.
