Description
As with many other foods, the English word caramel means something that is similar to the Spanish caramel, but at the same time, it is completely different. Spanish caramel (caramelo líquido) is a thick syrup made with sugar and water. It is usually placed at the bottom of the dishes for flan or natillas before pouring the mix. It can also be used as a topping on many puddings and goes especially well on top of whipped cream, iced cream, or even better… a combination of many of those sweet treats.
If you want to serve a stunning dessert, try with a Spanish flan with whipped cream and topped with caramel.
