Description
Mantecados are a Holidays biscuit-like treat. They are called mantecados because they are made with pork fat (manteca), wheat flour, sugar and spiced with sesame and cinnamon. Each individually wrapped unit contains two mantecados, presumably because one is never enough. The manufacturer calls them double cinamon, but the double refers simply to the fact that two biscuits come wrapped together, rather than the amount of cinnamon used to flavour the biscuit. Anyway, this is a great entry into the world of mantecados, and is a firm national favourite.
