Whole Ham leg from Guijuelo, 50% Iberian acorn-fed pigs. This ham has been cured-matured in salt from 36 to 48 months for a deep and excellent taste. Its colour is pink, and the fat so soft that melts in the mouth.
Because it is an Iberico ham, it is a long and muscular leg, with a soft and more sophisticated flavour than the shoulder (front leg). And because it is acorn-fed, its fat it is soft that melts in the mouth, and it is oily. This is one unique characteristic of Iberico de Bellota meats: the fat is compounded with solid and liquid fats, giving it an extraordinary taste and texture, and great nutritional properties. This is considered a healthy fat, as healthier as the olive oil.
These pigs grow up free-range in the mountains and are fed during 3-4 moths with acorns, grass and stubble. It is produced with 100% natural ingredients, without preservatives, colourants or flavourings. It is gluten-free, lactose-free and low in salt.
You will enjoy every piece of this ham. Best enjoy it at room temperature and finely sliced as a tapa. But you can also enjoy it with bread, cheese, tomato salad…
Each piece is wrapped with greaseproof paper and a fabric bag, for more convenient transport.
