Peladillas are sugar coated almonds. Shiny and pure white, their name literally means little baldies. In Spain they are a holidays sweet that is getting a bit old-fashioned but still can be found everywere on Christmas and during festivals. They are also traditionally offered as favours to guests on christenings and fist communion celebrations.
Don´t bite them! They are very hard to chew. The right way to eat a peladilla is to lick them as if they were a hard candy, till you find the almond on the core.
